Billing Details
Below you’ll find answers to the most common billing questions. Expand each item for clear, straightforward details.
Will my insurance cover this?
Alternative medicine services are generally NOT covered by traditional insurance, including Medicaid and Medicare. Alternative medicine uses alphabet-based procedure codes, not the numerical CPT codes used by conventional physicians. Insurance companies do not recognize these codes, making reimbursement unlikely.
You are welcome to submit your charge sheet for possible out-of-network reimbursement — however, we do not file claims on your behalf. Please note that changing alternative medicine codes to conventional codes when submitting to insurance is considered fraud.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment of cash, check, or credit card is due at the time of service. You can also use your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) to pay for visits and supplements dispensed in our office.
Blood work billing is processed through your insurance. You are responsible for providing the lab with your current insurance information and for understanding your coverage, deductibles, and any out-of-pocket costs.
Can the office help with insurance disputes?
Physicians and staff cannot answer specific insurance coverage questions, cannot become involved in disputes with your insurance company, and do not write medical necessity letters.
💡 Insurance doesn’t pay for broccoli — but that doesn’t mean it’s not good for you. Paying out of pocket for the right care and staying healthier will always cost less than the price of poor health.
