ABSINTHE

Absinthe is a highly alcoholic distilled beverage. It’s made from botanicals such as Artemisia absinthium, green anise, sweet fennel and some other herbs. Absinthe is a naturally gluten free alcohol.

TEQUILA

When tequila is made the traditional way with a blue agave plant is naturally gluten free. However, there are cheap brands that contain gluten, which are called ‘mixto’. To make sure that your tequila is gluten free, check that the bottle says ‘100% agave’.

RUM

Rum is distilled from sugarcane and molasses. Dark rums can have added caramels and colors…so not all rum is gluten free.

WHISKEY

Whiskey is a type of alcohol typically made from gluten grains which are removed to 20 ppm. Whisky is distilled from various grains including barley, corn, rye and wheat. Because of the distilling process it takes the gluten out of the barley, rye and wheat. But, other contaminates can be added back in afterword.

Queen Jennie Whiskey is made from sorghum and is completely gluten free.

Bourbon is a type of whiskey and is primarily made from corn. Bourbon that is distilled and is pure from the bottle is considered gluten-free.
